Core memory Scraps (Bathroom I)

Like Core Memory Scraps (Bathroom II), Core Memory Scraps (Bathroom I) is also embedded with fragments from the artist's childhood bathroom, reflecting how memory, much like these imperfect pieces, is fallible and mutable. The only difference lies in the type of tile used: in this instance, it was the kind that lined the bathroom walls. Thus, this installation is designed to be displayed on a wall, similarly becoming a new surface that bridges time through the evocative power of imperfect remembrance.
