The ErbaRìo project combines the concept of a herbarium with that of a Boîte-en-valise. A reclaimed wooden suitcase holds a collection of scents derived from spontaneous wild herbs found in the Venetian territory. What differentiates the four plants isn't the label on the glass container, but rather the scents themselves, obtained through decoction and infusion of the herbs. The pattern printed on recycled packing paper, used for the packaging, is generated from the path walked during the collection around the island of Venice. ErbaRìo aims to raise awareness about the importance of wild plants, which are sometimes overlooked and rarely considered. In reality, they symbolize the true nature of the territory and should therefore be understood and preserved. The journey taken to collect the herbs becomes a metaphorical path to comprehend their diverse habitats and unique characteristics.
